A programme called Wild China is on BBC2 right now. It has already mentioned plant collectors from way back.

I haven't seen this in NZ but then we don't get any of the really good stuff now. Any links available?

Oh! I wish I had seen that program! Will it be on again sometime?

Oh yes, blast them, the bar across the screen saying "Not Available in your Area."

So maybe I can buy the DVD? I'll probably have to order it. :-\

At present we are ploughing our way through the total episodes (7 disks) of Poldark, which I gave to Roger for Christmas (at his request. He is heavily into nostalgia.) The first episodes were from 1975 so probably half the Forumists weren't even born when it originally screened! Also gave him a wonderful book whose front cover says it is

"The Proceedings of the Ever So Strange
Proudly Presents the Weird Animal Almanac.
A Bestiary of the Unusual and Bizarre in the Animal World."

Find and read this if you can. It is hilarious.
