I just have one small bulb of the wild-type P. X lagenaria - here it is today, unfortunately had to be photographed inside the house.

Hey Everyone,

I love the aurita-hybrids, first of all Burnsall - the flowers are very beautiful, long-stemmed and long lasting - I just love them!

Darren, if you have experienced problems with yunnanensis (a species I haven't grown up to now), maybe you'd like to try the hybri 'Piton Ballerina' - its flowers look much like yunnanensis, but is much easier to grow. And you can be sure the plant is not wild collected, as most of the offered yunnanensis seem to be.....

But still would never dare to deep-freeze my Pleiones - they stay in the basement ;-)

well i put my pleiones in an outbuilding for the winter..they survived last winters prolonged minus 15..but this year  a lot feel mushy .and its not been quite as cold..strangley the green pseudo bulbed ones are ok while the purple bulbed ones are not??why is this do you think?
