RHS Rosemoor-21 May 2010
« on: May 23, 2010, 08:38:49 PM »
Just a few pics from Friday's visit to Rosemoor the RHS Garden here in Devon. The Paeonia pics have already appeared in the Paeonia 2010 thread and the others are specific plants or just views that caught my eye.

The first three are general views and the fourth a planting view.
Paeonia officianalis ssp. microcarpa
P. rockii
P. suffruticosa 'Cardinal Vaughan' (I have awful trouble with reds!)
Smilacina looked and smelt lovely throughout the woodland areas.
Rhododendron could have filled many frames but restricted to one sample here.
Verbena-didn't get the name, but looked lovely.

I can add a few from November 2009 It's just as nice in the autumn
1. Bog Garden
2. Waterfall next to the Underpass
3. Container in the Mediterranean garden (Aeonium Swartzkopf & a Lotus I think
4. Long border ( and my wife sneaking into the frame)

I have a few more but won't bore you with those.  And I have to say my wife thoroughly enjoyed it ... and she hates Gardens normally ::)
