Good grief - does Iris foetidissima come in blue (flowers, I'm assuming - I have/had cream as well as the usual red fruited forms which come & go)? Now that does sound like a desirable plant.

I also have it in my garden, but they are natural here in the florest. The flower is a bluish to purple one...

I must pay closer attention to mine - but as i recall, the flowers are a subtle ochre shading to a bluish tint with much lining, but 'blue' isn't what immediately springs to mind.
