Tulip Shows 2011

Advance notification of 176th Annual WNETS Show to be held on Saturday 14 May.

This is the show for English tulip growers.

The Show venue:Primrose Hall, Green Park Avenue, Horbury, Wakefield WF4 6EG which is close to Juncion 40 on the M1. Open to the public. Those showing come from UK as well as Europe.

RHS Tulip Show Tuesday 26 April 2011 at the Hillside Centre, Wisley

Constable Burton Hall Tulip Festival Saturday 30 April to Monday 2 May at Constable Burton Hall, Yorkshire

Tulip Festival 2011

At Alnwick Gardens, Northumberland from 30 April - 7 May.

Reputedly over 10,000 bulbs in vases!!!

We went to the 176th Annual Show, Wakefield and North of England Tulip Society on 14 May 2011 and were not disappointed.

A full show report will be made once we've had a chance to sort out pictures.

However, here's a picture of a winning tulip, 'Judy Baker' bred (so I believe) and shown by John Wainwright.
