That page says the flowers have a 'mild spicy scent', Lesley, so the "look" was right!

Thanks to all , I have not controlled the scent, but making soon, the pot was hidden in the middle of the other plants, has had fortune to see the flowers

Question is how did you get it to flower.  Duncan says it flowers in Sept in SA.

No mention about scent in his book.

It also flowers in September here in Argentina.

I was wondering that too... All mine are happily snoozing for the summer. Even the leaves in the picture look nice and green.

 I was lucky enough to see this species in the wild, in flower, in the first week of september (i.e. equivalent to March in the northern hemisphere).

Creed is due to the first year of plantation, often happens, with coming l bulbs from the South Africa, has had also Lapeirousia corymbosa and Moraea elegans in flower,I confirm, the flowers do not have scent

But, Alessandro, you have them growing at the opposite season! This is no good, although you are such an experienced grower.

This does not depend from me, has not forced bulbs, leaves in pot dry, but if they go in vegetation, I must leave, the next year are regulated by themselves, I have noticed that it seeds also it of increasing bulbs winter introduce the same problem
