Hi sorry to be a stranger !

Hi everyone sorry to be a stranger. I hope you are all well. I just thought I would report back and tell you how I am getting on. As some of you know I was debating setting up in business with the pros and cons of it although I had not mentioned it much. This lead to me asking a lot of questions with my slightly limited knowledge. I have had experince with plants but not as much as those of you have been doing it many years.
Anyway I have been doing an awful lot of looking at the plant ranges I could do and have indeed done over this last year. I can only operate as a small business due to a back problem I have so its more on the side with another job as well. I thought I ought to tell you as it may be of interest. I have asked a lovely couple in Spain who have a business to sow some seeds for me in much smaller modules making them around 10 p each. I then have to reach there minumum order, money wise , making it worth it for them and making it free delivery for me. Its all quite fun at present and I can let you know how I am getting on. I am doing perennials mainly common kinds to start with. I have been using chiltern as you told me as a guide to whats available. It has far more seed choice on average than the other seed producers. It is more expensive though. I am putting it down to them being more genourous with seed numbers in packets and quality.
Any way thought I would report back and hope you are all keeping well. Let me know if I am not supposed to talk about commercial things here. If I should not be then I can talk in general terms as I had before. Since Susan etc have businesses I thought it would be okay but not to refer to the 'business' just talking about the 'plant' or 'plants' only.
Thanks , take care, speak soon !
David.

I hope all goes well for you David.
Talking of being a stranger, I have been wondering lately how or where Stellan is, and Gerry, the Travel Giraffe. Quite a lot of Forumists come and go and then reappear.

Gerry and Stellen were planning to go to Africa this year according to Peter so I don't suppose there are many alpines to photograph there

Thanks i am sure things will go well. Great to see how active you guys are on the forum still. I will come back when I can maybe next time with the odd question or too. Should you come across anyone else who can do a good plug deal for me as talked above I am sure you would let me know. Anyway moving swiftly onto to non-commercial talk......Hope your gardening are doing well and you have had productive summer. I have not been on holiday yet but will soon visit my father in Anglesey-should be fun ! Lucky people who live on the coast I am jealous.

Gosh, I suppose Getrry has decided where his true interest lie. Perhaps there will be little Gerries in time.
