Colchicum in the wild in Belgium

In some places in Belgium Colchicum autumnale grows in the wild.
Some impressions of our native Colchicum . Yesterday I could make this pictures but due the rainshowers it was not easy to make good pictures...
As you can see , the flowers are eaten ...

Same situation here in Germany - many Colchicums are out in the fields around Neustadt.
Our plants show more variation than the Belgians, yesterday while I was biking with Chris I found
a meadow with some dark purple plants, on another meadow pure white plants are growing.
Sorry didn't have a photograph with me...   will try to repeat the trip in the next days!

Hi Thomas. Thanks for your reply. Good to know that C.autumnale grows in your area ,always happy to that such plant wil thrive in our own wild nature.Interesting also about the variaton.Would be nice to see some pictures ...
 There are more habitats in Belgium , but they are scattered ! And I think most of them are threatened ! Maybe next year I trie to visit other areas to have a look and see about the variaton...
