Meconopsis horridula/rudis

Last year I sowed seed of Meconopsis rudis and Meconopsis horridula.  Both lots produced leaves with and without red spots at the base of the spines so I suspect both were from mixed lots.
First some leaves after rain on May 5th.
More (dry) leaves on May 8th.
A lovely deep blue flower on June 11th.

Very interesting pictures Roma and such variation, I will leave you to sort out which is which, look forward to more pictures once the rest flower,   cheers Ian the Christie kind.

I sent this pic in to the AGS on line show as horridula and the judges commented the one on the left was prattii and rudis on the right

Meconopsis rudis
Plants which did not flower last year and rather short in dry, poor soil but all a  good blue colour.
The Rhodohypoxis were surplus when repotting last year and survived the winter
