Geophyte ID
« on: October 28, 2011, 04:00:23 PM »
Hello to everyone, can anyone please help id this geophyte?. It was photographed in habitat near Huelva, South Spain. I think it might be Narcissus cavanillesii (syn. Narcissus humilis, Tapeinanthus humilis ) but I'm not sure if it is or not. Any help would be much appreciated!!. Thank you in advance.

Juan,
Fantastic pic!
When did you photographe these plants? I'm just back from Andalucia and wasn't able to
find N. cavanillesii around Sevilla and further north.

Thanks both Ranunculus and Gerdk for the info and your compliments.

Gerdk, I took this photo yesterday morning after the first autumn rains.

Juan, Thank you!
It seems I was about a couple of days too soon for this species.
