Whenever has the playing field been level? If the playing fields were level, the sleeping bag I bought in 1983, made by Lightline (and signed in ink on the label by three different people who'd been part of the manufacturing process), would still be made in the UK and not China!

Back to things technical. Has anyone tried the Eye-fi cards? Do I need to sign up to Flickr or some such nonsense to be able to use it?

Reminds me of the hi-fi amplifier I bought in 1978 -  a Sugden A48. All Sugden equipment was assembled by one person & mine is signed inside by the woman who made it.
Gerry passed away  at home  on 25th February 2021 - his posts are  left  in the  forum in memory of him.
His was a long life - lived well.

For anyone sick of google's tracking and collecting private information try duckduckgo.
The search engine philosophy emphasizes privacy and does not record user information.
I just made it my home page.

Managed to sort out the Eye-Fi card. I take the pictures and they automatically up-load into a file on my computer remotely. I can now set this up wherever I am in the world. :o

I've only tried it at home. As usual with these things, the instructions are minimal, unlike the constant shouting of instructions at Sydney airport. Couldn't hear my wife speak when I phoned her half an hour ago! Why can't all airports adopt the silent policy? :(
