I need to be retrained because i did buy Cyps  8) They are growing fast. "Pot grown" wasnt true for all. Only one had filled its pot with roots.

I tried retraining - it doesn't work, some bad habits are impossible to break.  ::)

By the way, did the photoshoot/get together over cakes that Anne has planned ever happen? I was too busy taking plant photos after 12 o'clock to take part, but did not see any sign of a gathering as I wandered in and out of the show hall with plants.

Why am I not surprised that these two managed to nab the cake?  ;D

I agree with you, George, and the Boss does too. T. nivale should have voluptous rounded petals... this is a beautiful form and look at the perfect foliage. A cracker!

Photos of Trillium nivale in Case and Case show both rounded and long petals. They tried to cross it with T. undulatum but didn't have the results ready for the book. There seems to be surprisingly(?) few hybrids outside the erectum types.
