Good point, Lesley... all the ones I have seen are!
I'm thinking Ashley is right enough with his Heterotheca jonesii (syn. Chrysopsis jonesii)

I must start paying more attention to daisies...I have no idea when an Erigeron becomes a Heterotheca, for instance... and lord knows, they're similar in many ways! Maybe I'll come back in another life as a botanist
