Good point, Lesley... all the ones I have seen are!
I'm thinking Ashley is right enough with his Heterotheca jonesii (syn. Chrysopsis jonesii)

I must start paying more attention to daisies...I have no idea when an Erigeron becomes a Heterotheca, for instance... and lord knows, they're similar in many ways! Maybe I'll come back in another life as a botanist  :-[

I'm a self confessed daisy nut. In the summer my garden is packed with 'em. Ashley et al if you want to see small composites go see Czech gardens or head to the good ole U S of A. One day I'll get to the latters mountains
