More mini-daffs in the rock garden:
The first is one of the 2 types I received as N. hispanicus;
the next is 'Stymie' from GBF
the one after is a GBF "breeder" Staten Island X Swagger
the last is from GBF as "W P Milner X Gipsy Queen" - which reminds me of N. asturiensis,
cheers

Wow! Fermi, that hispanica is so frilly!
Which is one reason that I'm suspicious that it's misnamed! I received 2 different plants under that name from the supplier. This is a pic I took of the two of them together last year - this year the taller one has already faded while the shorter more frilly one is still looking good.
Any ideas on the true identity or just "species variation"?
cheers

Could be just species variation - here's one we saw in Spain:
