Hello Everyone,
I have a few bags of interesting native australian plant seeds, Kennedia nigricans, acacia balyena, eucalyptus citriodora, banksia ericifolia, actinotus helianthi, and calistimon viminalis.
What is the best way to grow these? I imagine most are tender plants. Do they need a simulation of fire like some south african plants that tend to germinate better following a bush fire? I have read that soaking in warm water for 24 hrs before planting may be needed.
I also imagine it may be best to sow in spring, so they can begin growth when light and heat levels are better?
and a final question, is the kennedia an annual plant, or perrennial climber?
