I can't recall ever seeing roses here on the Forum, but I hope that doesn't mean
no one grows them.
Back in the 70s, I bought a lot of roses from Eastern Canada. One did not fit
the name it arrived with, so I took a photo and mailed it to the nursery owner.
Unfortunately, he had died and the nursery was closed. I showed the photo to
everyone I knew who grew roses, but it remained an unknown, and I gave up
until today.
It grows in a shady border of camellias and eucryphias. Good perfume. The
unusual attribute that it shares with Mme Hardy is leafy sepals. I have also taken a
photo of Mme Hardy, so they can be compared.
