Congratulations Ian, on reaching this milestone. And thanks for this great resource, the plaudits are richly deserved - not quite a life sentence yet though!

Looking forward to the next umpteen.......

Not sure you're right , David - 600 weeks without a break is quite a sentence - he probably could have killed me in January 2003 and be out of jail by now!  The price of volunteering, I suppose - or success!  ::) ;)

Fascinating log Ian.

I happened to break an erythronium bulb the other day when repotting & was very annoyed with myself.

However I'm pleased I decided to plant both pieces as now I've read your latest bulb log there is a chance I haven't caused the demise of my lovely plant.

The little bandits are squashed the plants there for the most part - luckily in that place the summer plants were only just hanging on after the late lamented Poppy decide that was her favourite  sunny spot too.   The spring bulbs are safe enough underneath the sunbathing small whites but the only summer things left right now are some determined  Anomathecas which are flattened to the ground.
Sigh! :P  Luckily it is only at this time of year they go on there, but the dogs do SO love that spot........ ;)

My parents little dog tip toes through my borders so I do not mind her having the freedom to explore..................she gets lots of cuddles whatever she does.

A proper soppy date me when it comes to dogs. ::)
