John, 'The Bible' says Pot or Frame culture is recommended or a very sheltered position at the foot of a warm wall...alkaline growing medium..
much like peshmenii I guess and it flowers in the autumn/winter.  Sorry but the best I can do.

i have two clones which I grow in clay pots plunged in a sand bed in the greenhouse which is not heated. They are grown in a compost of JI and grit. They survived down to minus 7c in the bad winter a couple of years ago no problem.

I also cultivate a few bulbs since more than 5 years. Summer on a shady extra dry place, winter in cold house( 0° - -5°C) all time in pots.

Thanks for your advice Tony & Hagen, from the advice I have had so far you can only grow them in pots in uk. A shady spot in summer and a cool spot in a greenhouse in winter.
