August Weather in the Southern Hemisphere
« on: August 01, 2014, 05:08:49 AM »
Oh well, I'd better get in a plug for our NZ weather while the going's good. We're having really strong nor'westers at present, the third day of these and the temps have soared in response. 23C yesterday in Mosgiel and Dunedin and it's 24 today on our back deck. Truly beautiful day until the wind became too strong for comfort. Happily, waterlogged soil is drying out at last and my thoughts are even turning to planting. :)

Dunedin was warmer than Auckland. Best we've had this week is 21ºC. Last week was the coldest week of the winter with 2ºC recorded.
