What is this nice but to me unknown bulbous plant?
« on: October 17, 2014, 01:01:05 PM »

Beautiful photo of nice plant, but what it is that I have caught in the picture? April in Scotland is the only clue I have got. But I am convinced that you will tell me the species almost before I have posted this.

A slight correction - it is Ipheion uniflorum'Alberto Castillo'

And your answer came from Australia to Sweden about a plant growing in Scotland  which originates from South America is named for Alberto in Buenos Aires!

Yes, it is really amazing. I still remember the first time I sent an email, to a friend across the street...Unfortunally it was not about any exotic plant
