Mexican bulbs 2015
« on: October 19, 2015, 04:00:08 PM »
Milla magnifica has been flowering for a the past month now.   This plant is about 2.5 feet tall and has floppy thin round hollow leaves like some alliums but is now in Themidaceae.  http://www.pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/Milla

the flowers have very long throats. i am not sure but i believe these need to be out crossed to make seed but i have been trying to cross all the blooms and a few have a swelling at the base of the spent flowers.

Has anyone got seed from a single clone of these plants?
