arisaema: why so early
« on: February 24, 2008, 01:37:51 PM »
Here are some pictures of arisaema speciosum in full blossom now (indoors). As not all arisaemas are fully hardy here, I keep them in a cool nearly dry place to overwinter usually without any problems. This one showed its shoot back in December so in the beginning of February not to lose the tuber I had to start watering it since it showed some signs of drying. And here it is 3 weeks later. I bought it only last year in August as a dormant tuber. Does anyone happen to know the reason fof this "lust of life"?
