We used to call them horse mushrooms as well. I don,t think we ate them as they were too big. It pays to look for maggots in old or big mushrooms.

It is one of the tastiest mushrooms I know. Young mushrooms are also good to eat raw. The only problem is finding them.

Well, I'm not so sure about that - it's part of a project for her website/blog - to promote her business - selling, patterns etc. so it's done with more purpose than as a pastime. It just looks more fun thatn the average promotional project!  :)
