Eranthis stellata and Eranthis sibirica
« on: March 29, 2015, 07:21:36 PM »
I am getting some Eranthis stellata and E. sibirica tubers in May. Can anyone give me some advice on how to grow those tubers in pots - compost, moisture , fertilizer etc. Also., how to grow them outdoors.

I also plan to get some of these species and grow them outdoors.  I have some raised beds that I hope offer some protection from slugs, snails and mice but if they need conditions radically different from Eranthis hyemalis then my attempt may be doomed to fail.  From what I can see, one or two people on this forum grow these species outdoors and the rest do not attempt it.
Almost in Scotland.
