Yesterday I tipped out the contents of a potful of Tigridia vanhouteii ssp. vanhouttei. It's been an excellent increase since last season when there were 7 ,(?), flowering size bulbs,....(damn ! can't read my own label ). :-[

Close up of contents as well as a large bulb that has multiplied and is ready to be split.
Had a clean up and removed the decaying roots and managed to pot up 8 bulbs for sale later in the year and repotted the rest all together .
 
Did the same to a potful of Stenanthium occidentale although I suspect this should have been completed back in autumn ..... :-\  .Hopefully the 10 flowering sized bulbs will be okay for sale in the spring . Again the left overs were potted up all in one pot...

Please share a photo of the Stenanthium occidentale  when it flowers, Dave - the only time we've seen photos in the forum have been shot in the wild. Would be nice to see how it looks in a pot.

Is Stenanthium occidentale growing in Canada  BC near the rockies ?
I think I remember seeing it there but the pictures are in my crashed computer
Have to find a program to save the pictures from the harddisk

I didn't catch it in flower when I was there, but yes it does grow in Alberta and BC Canada, also 'slides' down into US.

Raised from seed sown 2006 it flowered for the first time December 2013 . Possibly the 7 years it took to bloom was a result of my inattention to repotting ..... :-[

Thanks t00lie - it's a pretty little thing. Yours seems a darker form than the ones we've been shown  in habitat shots - rather nice!
The pix from Gabriela's link seem to be darker too.
