Bulb to identify
« on: December 19, 2016, 05:53:38 AM »
Hi everyone. Could some kind person please identify my flowering bulb which flowered Oct/Nov. for the first time this year. I have grown this from a batch of seed received in 2009.The date being all that is now visible on the label. I cannot find any record of it in my diaries. Flowers rather waxy & shiny - bright yellow with brown/wine markings. Foliage rather reed-like.The plant has produced an abundance of seed that I am happy to share.
Thanks so much.
Edna

Dear Fermi
I do believe you are correct. The seed pods are long & distinctive as mentioned at 'Pacific Bulbs'. It all adds up to Baeometra uniflora.   I am most grateful for ID & as I said previously plenty of seed available for those who wish.
