Erythroniums sought
« on: March 10, 2017, 09:06:14 AM »
Hi, am looking for some erythronium to supplement my collection of two!
Does anyone know a good nursery or would like to swap for snowdrops - or delphiniums or asters for that matter!

Thx,

David Nicholson

Aberconwy Nursery sell a few, they don't do mail order but are at various shows and plant sales around the country.

They are also easy from seed, why not try a few from the seed exchanges?

Shows are good source at this time of the year. Nursery owners at the show will often bring you your order too. Are you near any of the shows or nurseries?

Erythronium seed usually shows up in SRGC, AGS and NARGS seed lists.  They aren't hard to grow from seed.  You can even direct sow many of them.  My Dad has masses of revolutum that have self sown.  I could get you seed this summer if you want some.

Thanks very much Jan - and yes, if you can spare a few that would be very welcome.
