Barnardia numidica - was Scilla numidica
« on: March 16, 2017, 02:38:14 PM »
Perhaps I should have put this in with the Scilla thread as it used to be Scilla numidica. I know Robert Potterton has this, but I was wondering if anyone in a colder, wetter part of the U.K than here in N.W. Shropshire/E.Wales grows this. It seems to thrive outside here for me.

I find it hard to keep up with the names - they're  all little blue bulbs!  Read about these on the PBS -

Not had this one to try outside here. I would think it may be a bit tender?

It has grown outside here for the last 10 years or more so maybe it is not overly tender.

Crumbs - perhaps it's not so tender as I thought then.  Mind you, you are WAY down south of me, here, Eric!

That's why I asked. And we are very dry, but this is a frost pocket.
