As a former Wisley student garden (eons ago!  :P) this post brings me good memories. The new glasshouses look very promising...

Visited Wisley today, the alpine house was delightful. It was full of lovely plants in flower and was full of colour. We walked past the meadow full of narcissus bulbocodium through the woodland area which was covered in anemones to the new glass house.

Wow what an experience,it is amazing and planted with a fantastic range of plants. It is easy to get blinkered when you concentrate on one area such as bulbs or alpines and the range of plants outside of Lesley and mine's knowledge was a joy to see.

You will gather we were enthusiastic and I bought three lily bulbs as well.
