« on: June 14, 2017, 02:44:21 AM »
Ken was watering seed pots this afternoon and lo and behold Disporum megalanthum seed have sprouted from Green Mile 2011.  They'd likely have gotten the heave ho this year had they not appeared.

johnw - a nasty 30.5c today but relief tonight with 9c.

I always wonder in these cases of germination after 4-6+ years what is it that suddenly triggers them out of the deep dormancy. Really fascinating...
The heat wave supposedly to end here as well.
