Double A.ranunculoides are nice, but A.nemorosa 'Salt 'n' Pepper' won my heart.

Sorry but again, a misidentified Anemone palmata. It could be again Anemone multifida or another species. I don't know who cultivate the true Anemone palmata but nearly all seeds of this species distributed by exchange are false.

1) Anemone coronaria grown from seed from Goteborg in 2008 as "origin: Iraq";
the original seedlings were either white or purple as in the first pic, but a new generation are a mix
2) and some are "amethyst" as in pic 2;
3) Anemone heldreichii originally as corms from Marcus Harvey, not sure if he raised them from seed;

I imagine he did Fermi, because mine are from seed he collected several years ago. 
Last spring I had the chance to see it (& A. coronaria) in western Crete, and was surprised at the variability.

sorry for not replying sooner - it must've been wonderful to see them in the wild
Did you happen to see if there were hybrids between the two? I ask because I have them both flowering together and wonder if they cross.
Joining them now are the Anemone pavonina grown from seed from SRGC Seedex 2008 and second generation seedlings
1) Anemone heldreichii
2) A. pavonina red
3) A. pavonina white, red exterior
4) A. pavonina pink
5) A. pavonina pinky-red

No hybrids seen Fermi (but why not try ). 
In my limited experience the two species grow under different conditions.  We found A. heldreichii only on well-drained slopes among phrygana-type vegetation at higher altitude while A. coronaria seemed to prefer richer meadows and olive groves.

This anemone was in flower a couple of weeks ago. It was from last year's Plant Swap and the label had fallen out! I think the pot was about to be recycled because there was no top growth and I thought it had departed this realm!
I eventually found a label for it as A. baldensis but I'm pretty sure it's yet another Anemone multifida!
