my own Haemanthus cross ( H. X clarkei )
« on: September 04, 2017, 02:11:31 PM »
In year 2012 I had the idea to make my own Haemanthus hybrid ( a cross between H.albiflos x H.coccineus ) – it is called Haemanthus X clarkei

This cross is made from other plant people too – there is a article :

Hybrids in Haemanthus and Scadoxus
(Amaryllidaceae)
J.C. DAVID
Botany Department, RHS Garden, Wisley.

I have made this cross with my H.albiflos and with H.incarnatus ( a form of H.coccineues ) in year 2012 – sown September 2012

First flower now after 5 years 
