Narcissus x maginae - any photos?
«

Hi folks,
I've tried the search function on this Forum and a well-known web search engine, but have been unable to locate any photo's of
Narcissus
x
maginae
. This plant is a hybrid between
N. cuatrecasasii
and
N. triandrus
. I'd like to check the ID of plants I found in Spain recently. I don't think I found any of the hybrid
N
. x
maginae
, but it would be useful to have a photo for comparison, so I'm hoping someone here may have a photo they can share with me?
Thanks in anticipation,
M

Hello Matt, there is a photo using the Bing site. Open Bing and type narcissus x maginae. It looks a very nice plant.

Thanks Ian. I've tried a search using a number of different search engines, but they all bring up a similar range of images and unless I have overlooked something none of them appears to be
N.
x
maginae
. Hopefully a Forumist may have snapped this plant and have a pic stashed away in their files.

Furtling around for something else, I stumbled across this old post. Thought I should give an update. Turns out that during my trip in 2016 I found
N.
x
maginae
after all. And I present it to you here... Don't get excited. Whilst most intersectional
Narcissus
hybrids can be quite beautiful, this one (this specimen at least) is underwhelming. Enjoy.

Matt you're way too young to forget a plant you found yourself
and only a year ago as well.

I didn't forget the plant, I just forgot to update the post.
It turns out that when I was in Spain 18 month ago I did find the plant I was asking about in the original post, but I didn't know what I was looking at that time. I had enough wit to know I was looking at something out of the ordinary though and captured a pic. it was this photo I was hoping to compare with pictures anyone else may have had - but no luck. Luckily I put the photo in my presentation and this time last year an audience member kindly identified the plant for me. I should have updated this post back then, but didn't.

Matt, could you please send me a Google Earth point of this hybrid? my friend in Jaen is looking for it and he can't find it. It seems the must be very occasional.
