Tommy Anderson had all of 1 mile to travel to get to the show so was feeling in good fettle, even more so with some fine plants on the bench including an AGS Medal in Class 1 in which
Saxifraga 'Cumulus' and
Callianthemum anemononoides were two fine plants
Tommy also had a lovely large pan of
Saxifraga 'Allendale Ghost' in 19
I saw a picture of Sue Simpson earlier, only saw her at the end of the show, hope she was not infectious!!. She had a nice 3 pan in the Large Saxifrage class 19
and these were Saxifraga 'Auguste Renoir, S x poluanglica and S. 'Allendale Elf'
Fritillaria chitralensis from Cyril Lafong (23)

Ian and Maria Leslie made the long trip up from North Wales, I hope they got home safely, they brought a lovely
Corydalis macrocentra to class 69, earning a nice red Sticker
A plant that really attracted me was
Primula odontocalyx from Tom Green (56), would like a bit of that
Colchicum kesselringii from Alan Furness (76)
Iris nusairiensis from Lionel Clarkson (81)
Pieris nana 'Redshanks' from Ian Kidman (82)

Had a phonecall from John Bunn today, due to accidents on the A66 he and his passenger Barry Winter didn't get home till midnight almost 9 hours after they left the Show.
