« on: May 03, 2014, 06:33:50 PM »
Does anyone know anything about Scilla palviae - recently described from Portugal as my label reads. The spelling could be wrong

It's now Hyacinthoides paivae, a sort of Portuguese bluebell

Kurt Vickery had it on his bulb list a couple of years ago, and seed was distributed last year through the seed exchanges.

I like the idea of the outward facing flowers of this scilla  or Hyacinthoides paivae
May try sneaking it past the BD!

Mmm. Hyacinthoides italica flowers are very similar to my misidentified species.
