Pleased to say nearing the end.
An interesting gentian from Alan Newton in 87
Gentiana rhodantha
Raoulia eximia shown by me in 88, grown from seed obtained via Ian Christie and is the only survivor from 5 germinated. It is only small, I only took it because I might not survive the winter but quite a few folk were pleased to see it.
All in all it was a decent show with a nice balance to flower power and foliage, there seemed to be a good many visitors through the door, and yes Maggi the food was good with plenty of variety to choose from as us old folk can be a bit picky!!.

North Coast 500  is   a route around  some of the  attractive northern roads - being  marketed as a tourist attraction in Scotland  which is proving quite popular. Visit Scotland call it  "Scotland's Route 66 "

Thanks for that Maggi, at least we've done our bit for Visit Scotland, will the tenner be in the post? ;D

If only, David!

I'm diverted by another project which I think may be a good earner ... having a busy evening working out how to liquidise a bacon butty, bearing in mind the  aging  visitors to the shows........  ::)

The bacon butty specials must be a North east thing.  They included a slice of black pudding.  Worth going to the show for.

Odd really I've been considering marketing a line of stainless steel teeth ;)

Would you believe it, the pub we have lunched at for years had stopped doing food.  Ian Kidman who has local knowledge directed us the wonderful Fish and Chip shop on the precinct where we enjoyed a lovely Al Fresco meal.
