Lilium sargentiae, a Jens Nielsen coillection from the 1990's, is filling the evening air with the most delicious fragrance.

Few August pictures from the garden, quite a busy time after being away too long.
A very cold and rainy spring/early summer was followed by a very dry late summer in SW Ontario.

Deschampsia cespitosa and Delphinium grandiflorum, one of my favourite combinations (not that it was done on purpose)

Gentiana septemfida

A yellow (rather orangey) form of Ipomopsis rubra, the hummingbird doesn't seem to care much about its color, I meant to say they visit as much as the red one.

Iris dichotoma calling for vespers ;) every evening

And Roscoea auriculata finally in full flower (grown in the ground so it shows up very late)

Also a pot of Rhodohypoxis Hebron Farm Biscuit which Roma very kindly sent me earlier in the year as I was having difficulty finding any. All the rest of the Rhodohypoxis are long over but his little pot keeps going. Thanks Roma :)

Looking good, Shelagh.  Mine was doing well but some of it has died back.  I should tip it out to see if there is some beastie eating the roots but it's one of these things I keep putting off till tomorrow :-\

I was not  active in the forum for the past few months. Finding time to take pictures and posting takes a lot of effort on my part.  :)

Here is picture of the Astragalus lutosus with flowers and pods for the second time. A month ago I  collected seeds for the seedx from the first set of pods.
