Thank you David and Luc.
I have 6 plants grown from wild seed from Alplains.  Sown in December 2013 and germinated in February 2014.  I don't remember when I pricked them out but they languished in small pots for a few years.  I potted them into 3 inch pots last year and 5 are flowering now.  They were supposed to be pure white but all have some degree of pink veining.  They hide under the bench when dormant  and probably did not get watered enough in previous years .

I really don't understand why Lewisia's don't seem to get the attention they deserve  ???

Here's some of my humble collection, Lewisia cotyledon.

Easy  to  see the pleasure these  colourful plants  can bring, Luc - not that  your  garden  is  short  of  colour in general!!

Lovely Lewisias Luc (a fine study of alliteration!).  Apart from a few tweedyi my others have gone backwards, time to start again I think.
