Sideways pix are  to do with  how  the  image  was  taken, Angela, not  your  fault.
I can fix  it  ( I have ;) )

Love  your  new  avatar - I'm guessing  a  portrait  by  Lola?

I know  what your  plant  it - I just  cannot  think of the  name  right  now- sorry!

Thanks Maggi, I am taking my pictures with my iPad Pro as I cant see how I can transfer my pictures from my old Cannon camera. Maybe I need to hold the iPad another way.  Glad you can sort it out for me.
Its really at all spike and in my windy garden it doesn’t need staked.
Yep Lola did it a few years ago and I just came across it and it made me smile.

Rob just looked the name up and yep that’s it. I have never heard the name before and have no idea where I got the plant from . I hope it produces seed as I really like it. If it has white flowers its a must for me.
Thanks .

Angie,
This is not Asphodelus albums - it has single flower spikes. Your picture shows branched flower spikes and is Asphodelus microcarpus, which I think is a more attractive plant. I grow both of them.

Thanks Carolyn , I too think its very attractive . Hope it bulks up or produces seed as I wouldn’t mind having it growing in other places in my garden.

It should produce plenty of seeds - I usually send some to the seedex, not this year though....

I have this Asphodelus : it produces many seeds and is sown a little spontaneously. However in my difficult land, it takes years before it blooms for the first time (maybe 7 years). Fortunately, its young plants are easy to recognize.

Nice to hear that your plants produces plenty of seed not so good to hear that it can take 7 years to produce a flower.  Scary thought I will be in my seventies then  :o Might just see if I can find somewhere that sells it and that way I can enjoy it now.
