Weed id.
« on: July 24, 2020, 11:12:15 AM »
Asking on here is desperation as no-one seems to be able to put a name to this weed. Growing in a Bowling green and resistant to lawn weed killer.
Hellup!!!!!!!!!

Not an alpine I know, but there are some incredibly knowledgeable people on here.

Looks like  Ranunculus repens, common name creeping buttercup.

I'd suggest parsley-piert, Aphanes arvensis agg..
Here's some information on dealing with it as a lawn weed.

Thank-you. It really does look like Parsley piert. Says it is an annual so it ought to be easy to get rid, but I bet it isn't.

If the problem persists you could consider switching to road bowling, popular around here ;) ;D

Doubt if my knees would allow me to bowl anywhere these days. The Green keeper is a neighbour of ours who seems to think I know the identity of every plant he can find. Wish I did, but................
