Perhaps not really "shocking" but the Clivia is a dear treasure from my late friend Jan Fopma. As you see, 2 plants = one clone. This clone is an "offset" of an "offset" obtained by Jan from the BG Amsterdam many years ago. The original plant seems still present at Palace Het Loo in Holland and was a gift from King Leopold of Belgium to the Dutch Queen Wilhelmina & Prins Hendrik as a present for their 25th mariage anniversary in 1926.
The plants are in full flower now and my little greenhouse is perfumed with the clivia's fragrance.
However only a photo, hope you enjoy the flowers.
