Itīs surprising how many of these specimen show yellow receptacles and / or marks! As I do like the combination of green leaves with yellow, G. lagodechianus appears to be a very promising candidate. Thank You for showing these pics, Maggi!

There is a form of Galanthus lagodechianus in circulation in England that flowers very sparsely. I suspect that might be putting some people off the species. But a gift from a kind forumist has provided me with a different form that is doing very well for me and has no difficulty producing flowers. This picture was taken just before I planted it out in the garden

Probably I received the same form of G. lagodechianus at first - it grows well, but was shy-flowering, if flowering at all. This year it was really floriferous - maybe either the cold spell in February or the drought of last year did the job. Other forms of G. lagodechianus I acquired later flower perfectly well for me.

Maggi, thank you for posting all the pictures!
Alan, you are good at growing snowdrops:).
I have an older G.lagodechianus, bought from Sulev Savisaar, Estonia, and I don't know the exact origin of it, but it is a good snowdrop and flowers well.
In the second picture is G.lagodechianus bought from Augis Bulbs with origin from Armenia, and it is a bit different than my older G.lagodechianus.
