Help needed!
Received as seed from the AGS in 2015 as Gladiolus papilio dark red - which it is probably not
A beautiful plant but I would like to know its correct name!

Hi Gerd,
I raised something similar and can only presume that it's the result of something else cross-pollinating the Gladiolus paplio,
cheers

I gave up trying to grow Gladiolus papilio 'Ruby' from seedex seeds because they were never right.
I bought a plant of it from Far Reaches in Pt Townsend, Washington, USA, and it is a pleasure every year. I am growing some of its seeds to see if they are true-breeding.

Many thanks to Diane and Fermi - it remains for me to see it as a beautiful plant!
