Scone Palace Garden Fair takes place on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd June from 10am-4.30pm!

From Brian Cunningham, of Scone Palace gardens and the Beechgrove Garden TV programme writes :

"Come and celebrate the best of Scottish gardening with the country's top plant nurseries, garden centres and societies, present on the main lawns under the backdrop of the historic Scone Palace - the crowning place of the Scottish Kings.

Alongside all the floral fabulousness, will be garden-related crafts, along with outdoor furniture specialists, a series of free gardening talks including talks from Carole Baxter and George Anderson, and of course, the garden presenters from BBC's 'Beechgrove' around to answer your gardening questions to the backdrop of a live, jazz band.

New for this year is the final of the Scottish Garden Design Competition which sees 10 Finalists build their garden design, and all visitors can vote at the event for the People's Choice Award!

Children will be able to enjoy not just our Murray Star Maze and adventure playground, but will be entertained by a juggler, flower fairy, mini croquet, face painting, and gardening workshops on Saturday from Helen Cross. Well-behaved dogs on leads are most welcome too.

We have a plant creche manned by Trellis so you can leave your plants to be well-cared for when your arms get too heavy, or you want to explore the gardens, and members of the Scottish Air Ambulance cadets will be on hand with their buggies should you need help back to the car park with all your purchases!

Across the weekend, catering outlets will be serving a selection of bbq and hog roast food, fish and fries, flatbed wraps and donuts, as well hot and cold drinks, and a special appearance by Ruby the Campervan serving Pimms and Prosecco!

Access to the vast gardens and grounds surrounding Scone Palace is also included in the price so you can spend hours on the woodland walks, including visiting the giant conifers in the Victorian Pinetum, touring the Kitchen Garden, and catching the late spring colour in the flower garden.

Tickets are available for advance purchase (so you don't have to queue at the gate on the day) on this link: https://sconepalace.seetickets.com/tour/scone-palace-garden-fair

We cannot wait to see you on 2nd and 3rd June at Scone Palace Garden Fair!

Cheers,

Brian”
