ORCHID DAY - SATURDAY 13 JANUARY 2024 in Cumbria

Free event - open to all interested in orchids

The world-famous, Chelsea Gold-medal-winning orchid specialists Burnham Nursery https://www.orchids.uk.com/About-Us from Devon have over 70 years of expertise in orchids and hold the widest range of orchids in the UK. 

The nursery is travelling north to Beetham Plant Centre near Kendal to offer plants for sale (many of which are rare and/or unusual) and to hold clinics on repotting  and offer, throughout the day, a Q&A service. Please feel free to bring you own orchids to the workshops.

At 1400hrs Sara Rittershausen will deliver a free lecture on The Wonderful World of Orchids.

Refreshments will be available all day in the adjoining food hall and garden cafe.

Yemen, what a country ... Haraz mountains, Socotra, Sana'a, Hadramaut, the empty quarter.... a country of stunning, mind altering beauty...and the friendliest of people.

Tim - Sorry, I didn't attend. There may be something on either the Beetham or Burnham websites.
