Eric Rainford - sad news
« on: June 12, 2023, 09:41:12 AM »
It is with great sadness that I report the death of a great friend and very active member of the alpine world, Eric Rainford, chairman of our local AGS group and former secretary of many of the society's shows. He will be greatly missed by the society, and his many friends, and will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and unbounded enthusiasm for alpine bulbs.

Oh my word- that's a shock and very sad news. Indeed, Anne, Eric will be sorely missed.

Eric was a lovely man, and I was always pleased to see and talk to him if I ventured as far as the Harlow Carr show.  I am very sorry to hear he has gone.
