In flower in the main rock garden at Wisley now!
1. Sax fortunei 'Pink Mist'
3. Sax fortunei var obtusocuneata
Foliage shot: Sax 'Silver Velvet'
others unlabelled.

These are lovely forms of the autumn Saxifraga fortunei. Better than the few we have here at present.

I grow several plants of the ordinary S. fortunei here and it is a plant that seems to like my conditions and grows very well. I must now, after seeing your photographs, seek out some of these nice cultivars.

Dear Paddy,
I was at Aberconwy Nursery of Friday (in the snow!) and the Lever's have lots of different sorts (10+)
so you can call in when you are next at Bodnant!!

My next trip in the direction is planned for next Easter but we will be just passing through south Wales, Fishguard onwards, and going to Cornwall/Devon, so I don't see myself getting to Aberconwy in the near future and I don't think they do mail order.
