Here are 2 pics made today at the Botanical Garden of Düsseldorf

It was a climber - heighth about 5 m

I would be glad to have an identification

Gerd, that looks like Ampelopsis brevipedunculata, a grape (vine) relative.

It's native to eastern Asia. Here in eastern North America, where we have our own native species of Ampelopsis, A. brevipedunculata is a serious pest. In the past it was widely planted for its beautiful blue fruit. It is often called porcelain berry.

If it is a weed it is a showy one. Nevertheless
I hope it will not invade our alluvial forests.

The variegated version (I believe it's 'Elegans') is not nearly as vigorous--although it does self seed moderately...
