Epimedium help

Howdy All,

Can anyone ID this Epimedium from this pic?  Was the best pic I could manage unfortunately.  At first I thought the plant was pink with white tips, until I realised that it was the inner and outer petals.  Quite a largish flower, although not quite of a size with acuminata etc.  Very striking, and Otto kindly allowed me to bring home a piece of it as well.  Is this distinctive enough to be identified?

Hi Paul, I think this may be Ep. Lillafee. I am attaching a picture taken at Tartu Botanic in Estonia. Colour in my picture looks more pink but that is due to camera/light/reproduction, it is definitely purple.

I have E. grandiflorum 'Lilafee' (bought from the collection holder), and it does have purple flowers above the foliage, but don't recall them having so much white on the spurs before, must check next spring....

If I remember right Otto has previously said he has 'Lilafee' in his garden (perhaps also the source for Lyn McGough's plants? Mine died this winter ). Quite possible, perhaps, that this is a descendant?

I don't think it is 'Lilafee', at least it isn't how I recall 'Lilafee' anyway, but I'll confirm with mine if it flowers soon.  I don't recall such a stark white contrast to it, and the flowers were a bit different in shape (which I think Shelagh's pic confirms as well).

I can replace your 'Lilafee' at some point if you'd like?  I guess I had better check that mine is there still, before I confirm that offer though.  Most of the Eps are only just coming out or dormancy here, although 'Crimson Queen', E. grandiflorum and E. pubescens are already in full flower

Paul , thank you for trying to identify my Ornithogalum and the Epimedium , which most definately is NOT E. 'Lilafee', which also grows here , I imported it many years ago from Elizabeth Strangman, it's young foliage is also lila =purple.
 Paul, it was a great pleasure to meet you and Yvonne last weekend , unfortunately my painful spine limited the entertainment I was able to offer you both, hope at least I fed you enough.

You kept us occupied just FINE, with the visit to Viv's place, your own garden, the Kuranga nursery etc..... more than enough to do (and the food was great too!!  ).  Glad to see you have posted today, as we were worried that you might have been worse back-wise.  Was a relief to see you'd been here.
