National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin
« on: September 29, 2008, 10:26:11 PM »
On Saturday two of us went to National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin. The day was fantastic with hot sun and cloudless sky. We didnt know there was a sculpture exhibition on. If you are ever in Dublin make sure you go for a visit. The restuarant serves great food, coffee and a brilliant range of sweet food.

In alphabetical here are some photos

Beautiful place, Mark!

Do the Vireyas flower in autumn normally?

Mark, I think you had a very good day.
So many interesting plants there. Thanks for showing so many pictures.
Those Amaryllis belladonna are stunning!

Btw: Geranium Sweet Heidy is the good name.
It's the name of the raiser's wife.
Luit van Delft, right in the heart of the beautiful flowerbulb district, Noordwijkerhout, Holland.

Sadly Luit died on 14th October 2016 - happily we can still enjoy his posts to the Forum

Mark, thank you for the Vireyas!! Bliss!!
Gerd, the wonderful thing about Vireya rhododendrons is ( as well as their colours, shapes and often scent) that they can flower pretty much all year ...... wonderful things!!  8)  8)  8)
